Something must be happening to the 'thingy' (:)) 'cos I got only one double (hmmm.. one double...confusing, isn't it) today. Used to fill my mailbox.
Made me feel popular....

Yes, it was the las thing on the administration's mind.
First was drinking water.
Those are only 2 things on it's mind!

As I see, US policy is: why buy if you can take?

P.S. Most of the chemicals used to produce the main excuse for invading Iraq was sold by US. There is hard evidece of that.
Why they never found it? Probbably Saddam used it all on Kurds.

Chaky 191 Posting Virtuoso

Actually the Bible does not say Not to Judge... It says Judge not lest you be Judged... which means: Judge only if you are prepaired to be judged in the same way.

I wasn't quoting the Bible. I was stating it's policy.

If you're buying in the City Center (moll) you're wastin' your money, man. It's a ripp-off there. Much betteer to take a walk down town. There, it's a bargain. Literarly. I've been around the planet and I've seen the prices, and belive me - NOTHING beats Dubai. (It's a tax-free zone, isn't it?)

I WANT SOMEONE TO FIX THE $200 PHONE I JUST BOUGHT....

When I bought my (cellular) phone and it stopped working (worked whole 3 days), I took it back to a store and switched for another.
Why don't you do the same?

The blond walks down the street and notices a flyer with an apartmant rent ad sticked on a streetlight post and she starts knocking on the ad. The cop approaches her and asks:

- What are you doing?

- I'm knocking on this apartment, but I think that nobody's home.
Answers blonde.

The cop looks up and says:

- There must somebody home. The lights are on.

That is what happends after a long time of not keeping a PC plugged in power socket. Also corrupted bios is also what happends quite often.

Try to find battery here:

Nise to hear that you solved it.

Good thing that battery didn't screw your bios up.
I find here a lot of people with similar story that goes something like this:
"...cann't boot up...battery dead...replacedi ti...still cann't boot up.."

Usualy, it takes several years for battery to die. Just enough for motherboard manufacturer to stop supporting that 'obsolete' motherboard.
And biggest problem then is finding a right bios, one that was right in front of you for years!
If only people back bioses up.......

Two easy ways.

Right-click the desktop (empty space) and select properities.

There you will se desktop properities Window with the "themes" tab on.

You can change the theme (which changes, not just icons, but the sounds, desktop picture, all system icons aswell)

Other way is to select "desktop" tab in that window, press "customize desktop" button and you will be able to change 5 desktop icons.
Simplest way is to press "restore default" button to change to the original ones.

While you're at it, you should click on "settings" tab and check that colour quality is set on "highest (32)" or "highest (24)".

Looks like the CPU bus or voltage is not correctly set.
Here is a list of Intel's CPU's and some of the fundamental specs including voltage and model No.:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.asp?Submit=Suggested&Description=19-116

Find your exact model and compare the voltage shown in bios

There is also some info at intel's wep pages:

http://www.intel.com/products/processor/pentium4/index.htm

If none of this helps, look at the memory and it's bus speed.

I have a clue on these excessive notes!

I was just checking my e-mail and there were 2 of the same.
After I replied (twice on same thread) I got 3 notes. All pointing on same post with difference of time recived.
In total - 5.

Depends on religion, alltghouh they all are similar at this field.

In Bible God says:"...vengeance is mine!"

Everybody here are talking about everything regarding occupation of Iraq, except the real reason.
As I said, I was in Iraq last year and lesser of 2 reasons is crystal-clear to me....OIL.
I served aboard Crude oil tanker and happened to ship oil from Iraq to (suprise, suprise) US. ALL CRUDE OIL TANKERS WAITING FOR THE LOAD SHIPPED TO US!! Almost all oil is going to US with exception of UK and other countries that take part in campagin in Iraq.
Seen it with my own eyes.

Other reason is drinking water and that is EVEN BIGGER reason. Why? Iraq has (have to look up) 2nd or 3rd worlds largest natural reserve of drinking water.
If you find that odd, just compare today's prices of crude oil and equal amount of drinking water.

U.S. is not letting that go that easy.

Chaky 191 Posting Virtuoso

This is the question that has no right answer.

If one thinks religious (chatolic) then one must say that no man can judge if another man lives or not for it is Gods to judge.

If one is driven by sence of justice then one must ask himself about eutanasia also. The means are same but the judge is oposit.

First of all, I am not an American and I will not state my opinion on the poll subject here, but I am driven to write couple of things:

(my public profile is blank and will remain so)
I happened to live and grow up through the war.
I also happened to be in Iraq last year. (technicly)
I think that those 2 facts qualify me to be taken seriously here.

1. It is sad that the only real people that go to war (soliders) are not consulted when big guys make big decisions.
Remember: Nobody hates war more than warriors.

2. My opinion on Iraqi people is that they are not and will not be any time soon ready for the democracy and freedom (read: lack of supression by dictatorship). Don't forget that it took a Saddam to keep peace in Iraq. The methods are... well, let's just say that Hitler wasn't so resurceful.

One more thing:

I don't see how. More than 15 of the 20 hijackers were Saudi's.

Iraq population structure is by nationality is:
Arab 75%-80%, Kurdish 15%-20%, Turkoman, Assyrian or other 5%
and by religion:
Muslim 97% (Shi'a 60%-65%, Sunni 32%-37%), Christian or other 3%

Saudi's come from Saudi Arabia. Not Iraq.

Chaky 191 Posting Virtuoso

Now, that's a pretty comlex fun factor.

Thx for clearing that.

Chaky 191 Posting Virtuoso

One more question.
I found the post I got the rep from. It says that my reputation is EVEN?
If I gained 10 points, how can it be even?

Chaky 191 Posting Virtuoso

I ran out of fingers.
Let me get my calculator.

You failed to point out wether you installed new heatsink and fan before or after this occured and if new mouse worked fine.

If the answers to the questions above are after and yes...I can only say that I think your CPU is dying a slow death. (and ignore the below)

If the answers are after and no - make sure th heatsink is fastened tight and the layer is THIN. Thick layer isn't really helpfull.
Regarding the mouse answer, it's probably toasted usb controller, which is an integral part of mobo. Yep. Mobo is dying, piece by piece. Only thing here for you to do is to disable usb controller via bios settings (getting new usb controller PCI card is optional and advised)

Nevertheless, (a long shot) your memory timings could be offset, overclocking CPU (or VGA) can cause such behaviour too.

Chaky 191 Posting Virtuoso

Cool! Now I can spend all day substracting from your reputation points and you will never know......errr....I mean, how nice of you to tell me that.

Chaky 191 Posting Virtuoso
