Hi, I just assembled a computer with new parts but I can only get it to stay on for about two minutes before it simply shuts off.

On a few occasions, it said there was an overclock error or overvoltage error. I've already tried running it on "bare bones" but to no avail.

I'd like to get this up and running as soon as possible and I'd appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!

Specs:

ASUS P5PL2 motherboard

160GB Seagate HDD

nVIDIA GEForce 7300 GS video card

Pentium 4 3GHz processor

1Gb RAM

500 watt ATX Power Supply

3 1/2 Floppy

CD-R

DVD-RW

Looks like the CPU bus or voltage is not correctly set.
Here is a list of Intel's CPU's and some of the fundamental specs including voltage and model No.:

Find your exact model and compare the voltage shown in bios

There is also some info at intel's wep pages:

If none of this helps, look at the memory and it's bus speed.
