I thought you should see the second drive,. I bought a <a href="http://www.laptopbatteriesinc.com.au/laptop-battery/compaq/compaq-presario-1200-battery">Compaq Presario 1200</a> ,have meet the same problem

have you did the full power down with no battery or AC ?

i haven't meet that problem,i think it maybe the airport make the laptop dead,i have a <a href="http://www.laptopbatteriesinc.com.au/laptop-battery/compaq/compaq-presario-900-battery">Compaq Presario 900</a> battery dead in electronic factory last year.
