Hi,

I'm running a Vbulletin install on a CentOS server. MySQL is ver 4.1.22.

Every few days, seemingly at random I have a Db that will reach it's connection limit of 150. The rest of the time connections stay below 30. Then all at once queries build up, and we shoot over 150 quickly. If I don't restart mysql fast, it ends up bogging down the whole server causing me to restart the machine.

I've turned on the slow query log, and there's quite a few entries in there. But no patterns that I can see.. What else can I check to see what might be causing this?

The server only has 1GB of RAM, could that cause it? It's not like there's a huge spike in traffic when this occurs....

thanks
David
