is your sdk setup yet?

i don't feel like typing out step by step, the instruction are here
http://developer.android.com/sdk/1.1_r1/installing.html

I use the java EE IDE, where the instructions say "Available Software Tab" is actually "Install New Software"

make sure you point your path to the SDK in the environment variables.

this messege is shown
>>Unable to read repository at http://dl-ssl.google.com/android/eclipse/.
http://dl-ssl.google.com/android/eclipse/ is not a valid repository location.

Repositories are not normally accessible through browser request.
I tried http://dl-ssl.google.com/android/eclipse/ and https://dl-ssl.google.com/android/eclipse/ and they both worked for me. Make sure you do not have an empty space behind slash as this make often trouble.

O yeah, I think the newer versions of eclipse won't accept the sites.
try and download and use a different version of eclipse (like eclipse classic 3.5.1). I use the java EE developer version, it worked ok on that.

http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/

what o.s are you running?

let me know if it still doesn't open

It does work with latest Galileo version no problem at all. However instead of going Help > Software Updates go Help > Install New Software and in pop-up window click on Add button to just add new site entry or click on Available Software Sites to add multiple entries or edit existing entries

i change eclipse network connection settings and its work

good to hear that...

Please read above posts and try to follow instructions from there.
If you still have problems after trying above, post bellow with full explanation of what you tried and what error/issues you got.

Hello,

I uninstalled the ADT by mistake. Now when I try to install it again, it installs correctly but it doesn't load up in Eclipse. What I mean is that I can see the ADT has been installed when I check the installed plug-ins section; but I cannot see the Android section under Preferences and neither can I see the Android SDK and AVD Manager button/option under Windows.

I am currently using Eclipse 3.5.2 on a Windows 7 x64 system.

Please advice.
