I am currently using the visual studio 2005 express edition. I would like to upgrade to the 2008 express. So I would be using Visual Web dev 2008+Visual Basic 2008. These run on .net 3.5, at the moment there isn't an sql server 2008, would I be ok still using Sql server 2005 express in a 3.5 environment?

yes. you can use any SQL you want. SQL is a database and it is independant of the development environment.

Cheers.. was worried when I looked at the pre requisites for SQL server 2005 as it stated must run on ".net 2" hence the confusion. Sorry if I appear naive, I guess I follow instructions to well hahaha. Many thanks!
