which database are you using and which version of visual studio are you using.
this shud get u strted...
go to the properties of the label..,..
go to databindings...
advanced option...
in the binding drop down select add project data source...
thn select database..
new connection....
choose ur database...
test the connection...
select the required table and fields..
u will get the selection made above in the drop down of bindings...
hope this helps...
note the above steps are for visual studio 2005
