can anyone suggest how to write a notepad app using c??algorithm for programming is needed..gui is not so important..graphics in c enough..i just need the idea of what to do..pls help me...

Just use Win32 GUI apis and see Notepad C sample from Microsoft

gui is not so important
It could be done as a console text-based program -- the original version of MS-Windows (version 1.0) was like that, as were all the programs of that era.
