1. I am new use to player/stage. I need to write a code to navigate a robot from a given position to a target position. How do I go about doing that?

2. Can I use VFH driver to do that? I dont understand how to use the following commands though

PLAYER_POSITION2D_CMD_POS
PLAYER_POSITION2D_CMD_VEL

Could anyone please help me in doing that.

I've no idea - why don't you try it out and report back.
Sure I could search "just for you", but what if the VFH driver I find has nothing to do with what you're doing - waste of time on both sides no?
