i want the java methods or the mechanism which will work as that of COMPOSE and DECOMPOSE functions in ORACLE/PLSQL. please help me out.

COMPOSE-ORACLE

compose('o' || unistr('\0308') )

would return ö

DECOMPOSE-ORACLE

decompose('é')

would return 'e´'
