hi, I am creating a C# application and I am wondering how can I create a custom setup project. not the conventional one provided by visual studio. I would like to add a status bar and create my own folders and insert the required files to the folders, etc..
any help would be greatly appreciated..!

It looks like Visual Studio has some flexibility, both in UI and custom actions. I haven't used these myself, so I can't help with specifics, but that should get you started.
There are also third-party options like CPack (produces NSIS projects on Windows).
