creating sliding ads for a web page

I am not sure where to even look for any tutorials or information on creating the ads that move with the web page, the ones that slide down the page as you scroll, and then slide back up with you? Not even sure what they are called, I tried a couple times to google what I thought they would be called, but to no avail, just need a little direction here please. Thanks in advance.

You should seach for javascript scrolling banner or javascript floating banner or javascript fixed banner. There's a lot of results, but only a few demos.

Also, this is not an PHP question, it's DHTML/CSS/JavaScript.

If you don't want to use javascript search for CSS scrolling/floating banners.

thanks, wasnt sure if it could be done with php, just used to posting here i guess as most of my questions are on php, thanks for the guidance.
