Hey Everybody, I hope everyone is keeping well.

I am trying to develop a search box on a website in JQuery/Ajax but I am running ino some issues.

The problem I have is I have some very strict parameters that I can work to:

I can not use PHP.
I need to be able to use JavaScript or JQuery.
It needs to work on IE8.

I have looked at Tipue, which looks like an ideal solution, but it doesn't work on IE8. Does anyone know of any alternatives that will do what Tipue does, but on IE8?

Any help would be appreciated.

Can't you just fork Tipue and fix the issues for IE8?

unfortunately I have only very limited knowledge of Javascript. I wouldn't know where to start.

OK, not pretty I know, but by using

It allowed me to do what I needed to do in IE8
