separate dropdownlist for dates

I'm just new here,
I'm a sophomore student using asp.net (c#) & asking for some help.. :?:

**I'm having a hard time inserting date in my database..
I used separate dropdownlist for the month, day and year and I want to bind it & insert it to a 1 column in database(sql 2000).. can anyone help me?? please...
