I have made a chat client using TCPListener for server and TCPClient for client it works perfectly fine on localhost. However it is unable to send message over a ad-hoc network. I have tried everything i can think of. 1.Firewalls allow the application to run on both computers. 2.Even disabling firewalls on both computers doesn't work. 3.I have pinged both the computers from each other and the packets reach fine. Please guys immediate help is required. I have a slackware 13.1 tower computer and an Ubuntu 10.04 netbook. The netbook has an Atheros AR9285 wireless adapter, and I just recently got a Netgear WG111v3 USB wireless for the tower. I got the ndiswrapper driver working for the Netgear, and I have been previously been using the Ubuntu wifi without problem. My goal is to get an ad-hoc lan set up between the two computers, and it seems that I have almost succeed. The laptop says it is connected, but neither computer can ping the other. Hi Everyone, I am trying to write a software that can synchronize a folder amongst peers connected in a Wireless Ad-hoc network I have written some code and now i have the IPs of all the peers who wish to sync.(I did this using UDP broadcast.
