Inherited [this page](https://library.kutztown.edu/newsteam), a mashup of an HTML5Up template called [Strongly Typed](https://html5up.net/strongly-typed) trying to work inside our content management system, which runs on Bootstrap. Though we cannot edit the stylesheets bundled with our CMS, we can override via inline declarations & custom page-level CSS; the [page in question](https://library.kutztown.edu/newsteam) has the template's CSS & JS transplanted in. At a viewport width of 736px the two-column layout slims to one column, but at the same time the photo carousel "disappears." Or it seems to: in browser's developer console I see that what's really happening is the box balloons in size to a …

Can anybody tell me that how we can handle the tables in a responsive website design. If you try to decrease the font size it will be harder for the mobile users. If you don't decrease the font size then the data will be mixed and so on. Give me CSS code.

Hi All, I have a problem with my web page. I'm floating some content to the left so the image below can move up to the right. The content and image are contained in a div with a height set to 100%. When I remove the height or decrease it, the image moves down the page to where it began. Either way, the gap where the image started never decreases. I'm aiming for it to just go away so that the content reachers the footer. This occurs more noticably in the smaller width view using the media query. I assume …

Hello to the group. I have just joined and hope that I can contribute as much as I learn. I have a thirst for knowledge about most things to do with computers. My particular interests are web design and Filemaker Pro. I will shortly begin the challenge of teaching myself a programming language. Cannot decide between C++ and Python. I know this question has been asked many times but my interest is not in making it my career but in having fun whilst learning. I hope to chat with some of you in the forums

Hey everyone, So I've built a website for my portfolio and I want to make it responsive to all browser sizes. However I don't think I've got the basics of it down yet. I've got it to where my menu re-adjusts and but the main content doesn't seem to alter nor does the width height seem to change. No matter if I resize the browser, the width of the content seems to change. What am I doing wrong? Can anyone please help me figure this out? Thanks! index.php <!DOCTYPE html> <!--[if IE 7 ]> <html class="ie7 oldie"> <![endif]--> <!--[if IE …

Sometimes a css file wont load because of a slow connection or a conflict between scripts (or just any other reason). This specially problematic on mobile websites (looking at you IOS) where many standards are applied. So this little script will add a link tag to the head tag and load a css file. This example takes into consideration responsive design. You should modify it to accomodate your design (and file names). What this script does is take the computed style of a div (poller) and checks if conforms to what is expected from the CSS rules and if not …

Hello everyone again, I'm trying to do some web studies here and of course, digging deeper into responsive web design. Recently I came across this web page: http://kumanimedia.com/portfolio You will notice when you rescale your browser window, the boxes fluxuate based on it's size. On that, I inspected the element and the css that caused that effect and from what it seems (I could be wrong) it's something to do with the webkit-transform: translate3d effect. Can anyone provide a bit more insight to what's exactly causing this effect? Thanks

Hello, in the midst of creating my Responsive Webpage - http://turningheadssalons.com/index.html - You will notice that my menu and pages are all responsive. What I'm trying to achieve is a better way to construct my menu and navigation. (As you can see it overflows when the floats are cleared below a specific width) Although the client doesn't want the primary design to change, would there be any insight to either A. Better construct the menu and navigation of the page and/or B. Better change the navigation so it won't overflow and it will align center when reached below a specific …

Hello all! I'm new to responsive web design and I realize that it's fairly vital to desigining a good website today, what with today's ever changing screen sizes it's become vital to make sure my pages display well. So my question to everyone is this; Are there any Tools, Web Services etc. that allow me to manage all of these different screen sizes (Phones, Tablets, Desktops) from one code base? Also, through a few searches I came across people discussing jQuery but I'm not sure whether it would suit my needs, any opinions? Many thanks!
