I've just started a class to learn automation testing via Selenium. I'm using Firefox 61.0.2 (64-bit) I'm noticing a possible bug; not something major, but something that prevents efficiency: When attempting to load a saved project into the IDE via Open Project or through drag-and-drop, it does not load. Usually this requires closing/reopening the IDE and both methods to open a previous project will then load correctly. 1) My question in reference to this: has anyone experienced this, is it a known bug, and is it a good idea to simply revert to an earlier version of Firefox to remedy …

I'm using selenium with firefox to load a webpage. The page uses ajax to load new content on clicking the Display More Results button. However when I try to find this button and simulate a click, it gives the following Stacktrace error. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong ? **Here's my code:** from selenium import webdriver from selenium.webdriver.common.keys import Keys from selenium.webdriver.support.ui import WebDriverWait driver = webdriver.Firefox() driver.get("http://dir.indiamart.com/search.mp?ss=plastic+machinery") try: elem = elem = WebDriverWait(driver, 20).until(lambda driver : driver.find_element_by_id('scroll2')) elem.click() print "clicked" except Exception as e: print e driver.close() **Here's the error I'm getting:** Message: Stacktrace: at FirefoxDriver.prototype.findElementInternal_ (file:///tmp/tmpAQcOR7/extensions/fxdriver@googlecode.com/components/driver-component.js:10770) …

I'm having some problems cleaning up some of the processes my windows form application creates. I'm using selenium which starts a process instance of a browser and a browser driver among other things. Selenium library provides a Quit() method which if called inside my running application works just fine at cleaning up. My problem is, that if my app is simply closed via the rex cross I cannot call Quit(). I have tried a number of things like creating a destructor for Form1 and calling Quit there, no luck. Tryed adding the following in Form1 class... private void Form1_Closing(object sender, …

I'm trying to prefill webforms in iframes using Requests. If that can't be done, does anyone have a script I can use that works with webbrowser? I like that it calls the default web browser in just about any system, which is great for my Android applications. I've tried using splinter, a wrapper to selenium, but it only opens the browser--firefox only--for a second, fills out the iframe, and then automatically closes. Below is my splinter code. with Browser() as browser: browser.visit(url) r = browser.find_by_id('inpage_to_email').fill('ben@me.com') Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I've been working on a project using selenium 2 webdriver. Took me a while but finally got it working inside iframes of a web page. Thing is, I searched a lot and seen many examples but none that looked like what I ended up with, looks a bit weird and hacky. My question is if anyone who uses selenium can see a better and cleaner way of doing this. namespace mySeleniumChrome { class Program { static void Main(string[] args) { String pathtodriverfolder = @"path to selenium chromedriver.exe"; ChromeDriverService driverService = ChromeDriverService.CreateDefaultService(pathtodriverfolder); driverService.HideCommandPromptWindow = true; ChromeOptions options = new ChromeOptions(); options.AddArguments("test-type"); …
