So this isn't necessarily a programming question but here it is. Also I'm not sure if this is the right area to be posting this. Couldn't find an area that matched my question If I have a SVN Repository like /usr/data/svn/myproject And this repo directory has files and folders in it. Then I type sudo svnadmin create myproject Will that automatically overwrite the previous directory or will it throw an error saying the repo already exists I by mistake created my new directory and I am not sure if it overwrited an existing directory

HI guys, I'm really new to SVN and today I've installed tortoise as I'm working in windows at the moment and I'm following this tutorial https://tortoisesvn.net/docs/release/TortoiseSVN_en/tsvn-qs-guide.html. So, I have a java project in Eclipse: I have created a local repository folder on my machine and imported a project in it. I've also created another folder where I've checked out the working copy of my project. Now, in Eclipse don't forget I still have open the original version of the project, what should I do with it? Should I just delete it and load instead the hecked out one? thanks

I have written a program which allows the user to see specific SVN revision of a directory. It consists of an advanced TreeView and a ListView. The Treview is populated by the directory the user has specified and the ListView is populated when the user enters a revision number in a textbox and clicks on a button. This seems to work all fine. What I need is a way of when the user selects a particular revision in the ListView, to check the corresponding treeNode. Any ideas anyone? Regards

Hi, Due to Hurricane Sandy, my office currently has electricity but no Internet access, with no ETA (it's been nearly a week, and they are saying it might be another week). I desperately need to move our SVN server, hosted in our office, to our off-site servers hosted in Texas, so that I can work from home where I have full electric/Internet. Currently, our SVN server is VisualSVN and hosted on a headless Windows Server 2003 that serves as our domain controller. We use the domain to authenticate SVN credentials. All of our servers in Texas are linux-based. There's a …

Ok so let me explain what I am looking for. I have one repo where the new code is being written that lives on one repository. On another repository I have pulled a snapshot of their code and edited to work in a certain environment. In a couple of weeks I need to pull a new snapshot from the other repo that has new/edit code that needs to be merged. How would I do this? Can svn merge do the trick? Thanks

(for more info on SVN, Please click HERE. to see an example of SVN Please click HERE.) Is it possible to build such an application in .net? i also want to know when the user changes any contents in that folder which are not added/Updated in the base folder. For that i want to use some specific folder icons. The example for the icons is attached with the post. Is it possible to change the icons of the dirty folder on runtime? Please let me …
