I am beginer in java script. I need to do this in javascript

I have a char feild, in which date is stored. I need to pass a parameters like 'PST'( pacfif timezone) and char feild, in which date is stored(2014-03-17 21:27:01). that should convert to CST time.

Try looking up 'javascript date convert' - the date object does all the work for you.
