Thanks! People don't give fonts as much credit as they deserve. I tried designing a font - I did not even get 'a' done and realized that it was not my calling.

Oh, that's a bad one.

Some of you may remember a time, back in the late 80s, early 90s, with the coming of affordable ($1500+) laser printers, all of sudden we had lots of fonts. So many fonts, so few places to use them. It was painful to see the way people would try to use as many as possible in every document, whether a flyer or a book.

I thought I'd become a Desktop Publishing wizard back then, studied a bit on typography and design (helps to have an artist as a spouse), then moved on to comp sci. Still have a lot of books tucked away. Favorite was "Stop Stealing Sheep"

There are 2961 font tags in this rant. Trust me - don't read too far or try to count them.

Hm. I counted 2970.

You've both got way too much time on yoru hands.

I cheat.

Find all "</font>", Ignore case, Regular expression (UNIX)
...
Total found: 2970
