Im trying to change my hosting company for my website. My web developer who also hosts my site is very reluctant and changes the subject every time I ask them for my details to transfer the site to another hosting company. Why would they do this.?

May I ask why you're changing hosting companies? Does the web developer host locally, or is everything done with an external company?
