We all know that identity and access management (IAM) tools from third parties can help secure access with Active Directory. However, problems in Active Directory IAM tools can have an impact on the operation or security of the overall AD environment. Identity governance and administration (IGA) tools are often used as an alternative to delegated administration tools for Active Directory. IGA tools tend not to focus on the Windows Active Directory environment but instead manage users and access across multiple different environments, including mainframes, ERP software, Unix/Linux and other systems. IGA tools will also support business roles and access policies across different technology domains. Because of their wider focus and range, IGA tools tend to be more expensive and take more time to deploy. What third-party identity and access management (IAM) or identity governance and administration (IGA) tools do you use to help overcome any limitations with Active Directory and manage this risk?
