We're planning to implement a regular backup strategy for our Google Workspace accounts because relying only on cloud storage doesn't seem sufficient for our long-term data protection needs. We need a solution that can back up Gmail emails while preserving attachments, labels, folder hierarchy, and metadata. Features like scheduled backups, support for multiple user accounts, and export to formats such as PST or MBOX would be helpful. I came across a few tools, including SysInfo Google Workspace Backup Tool, but I'd like to hear from people who have actually used it. Is it reliable for business use, or would you recommend another solution?

Given "The mbox format uses a single blank line followed by the string 'From ' (with a space) to delimit messages; this can create ambiguities if a message contains the same sequence in the message text."

Why would you allow mbox use if your goal is reliability?

Or is this your sock puppet attempt to spam a conversion tool?

Previously asked and answered. Just install Thunderbird and download the emails to a local folder. Just make sure you select IMAP.
