I would like to know a good directory of self-publishing e-zines. Any help in this regard will be appreciated.

Thanks!

This thread is about finding reputable self-publishing e-zine directories. asked for a starting point, and replies from and point to article-style outlets. A useful next step is to treat directory selection like any editorial submission: match audience and standards first, then worry about distribution and SEO.

Practical checks and a minimal submission workflow:

  • Confirm activity: recent issues or posts, functioning archives, and working contact emails.
  • Read submission terms carefully for exclusivity and rights-granting language (avoid sites asking for "all rights" or permanent exclusive licenses).
  • Assess editorial quality: look for named editors, sample accepted pieces, and whether material is edited or curated.
  • Beware of pay-to-list services and mass-accept aggregators; legitimate e-zines usually have clear guidelines and selective acceptance.
  • Prepare a standard pitch (one-paragraph summary + 50-word author blurb), format samples per guidelines, and keep a simple tracking spreadsheet for submissions and responses.
  • Track impact after publication: referral traffic, social shares, and whether the piece stays indexed over time.

For historical continuity and to verify whether a site reliably archives issues, consult the Internet Archive. Prioritize a small set of niche e-zines with active editors and clear rights terms rather than broad, low-quality directories; that approach yields better long-term visibility and preserves control of content.
