Short answer: putting more than one meta keywords tag on a page won't give you extra SEO benefit and can produce inconsistent results. was on the right track — search engines today do not rely on meta keywords for ranking — and 's concern about "friendliness" is relevant only in that overly long or duplicated metadata can look like low-quality or templating errors to crawlers.

Why that matters: the keywords field was heavily abused years ago, so major engines stopped using it as a ranking signal. Multiple identical or conflicting metadata entries usually come from CMS/template problems and can cause scrapers or internal tools to read the wrong value (some parsers take the first, some the last, some merge). ’s good rankings are almost certainly down to content, links, and site quality rather than having several keyword phrases in metadata.

Practical steps:

  • Check your templates and remove duplicate metadata output; keep metadata generation in one place.
  • Prefer a well-crafted title tag and unique meta description for each page over any keywords tag.
  • Use the URL Inspection tool in Google Search Console (or view-source / curl) to confirm what crawlers actually see.
  • If you must keep a keywords tag for legacy/internal tools, keep it short, relevant, and use a single tag per page.

Caution: avoid keyword stuffing or leaving contradictory metadata across pages — that can harm user experience and may trigger spam heuristics. Focus on clear page content, semantic structure, and quality links; those are the signals that actually move rankings.
