The computer was on and running fine and died without warning. It looks as if the system has no power at all. We have checked the outlet to make sure it is viable. we have unplugged and reseated the cables. we have pressesd the fn-f8 the fn-power we have held down the power button all to no avail. the only light at all in the system is the one green led on the ac adapter it stays solid green. we desparately need this computer please help!

Hi There,

Try removing batteries and unplugging ac adapter, press and hold the power button for approx. 10 sec. Pluc AC adapter see if anything will happen. But if this still wont power up, most probably this is a dead mobo. I do suggest you try a different battery though like what efmesch suggested.
