Just got this software from snap media called beyond tv version 3.53. Setup was no problem, but there seems to be a 3 sec delay on steaming video voice and video in sync, but video is delay by 3 sec a real pain if you have to do any kind of editing or use satilite box with it. because of this. Any ideas on how to fix this

— three seconds of consistent video lag usually points to buffering or a processing mismatch between the audio and video paths (or extra buffering when the server is streaming to a client). First step: reproduce the problem locally on the PC with the ATI VE card (no network/streaming). If the delay is still there, it is likely a driver/capture/renderer issue on that machine; if it only appears when streaming to another machine, focus on BeyondTV streaming and buffer settings.

Try these isolation and fix steps, one at a time:

  • Update the ATI tuner/capture drivers and install any BeyondTV patches for your version, then reboot.
  • Test different video renderers (Overlay, VMR7, VMR9) in the player; some renderers add frame buffering.
  • Temporarily disable deinterlacing, postprocessing and any video filters to see if processing is introducing latency.
  • Reduce or disable BeyondTV time-shift/disk-buffering or lower the streaming buffer on the server if you are streaming to a client.
  • Ensure audio sample rate/settings match the capture device (mismatched resampling can introduce latency) and disable Windows audio enhancements.
  • Capture a short clip and inspect it in an editor; if the offset is a fixed amount, apply a fixed offset in the capture software or during editing as a last resort.

Backup settings before changes and test after each step. If the lag persists only with BeyondTV, try another capture tool (for example VirtualDub) to confirm whether the card or BeyondTV is the bottleneck. If all troubleshooting fails and low-latency capture is required for editing, consider a capture solution or driver stack known for low-latency performance.
