Avast anti-virus keeps popping up and telling me there's a rootkit installed in my PC. But when I run scan and do the removal the PC reboots and the avast scanner runs but it fails to get the rootkit


Whats a good rootkit remover?

AVG repotedly has a good one. Go to their site and try it out.

Nope, it's gone, crunchie, is now a part of AVG8 commercial. Good scans are still GMER, RKR, RKUnhooker and Icesword.
