I don't use AVG any more as my (soon to be) husband is military and we get McAfee for free, but my friend uses it on her Dell desktop. She had been using it for several years but now it is saying it is no longer free and she must pay for it. Is this true?

If so, is there another program out there that is free? She tried CyberDefender but now it is corrupted and won't let her on the internet saying all websites are harmful.
