Please do this first and whatever is left can be fixed manually.

Go here to TrendMicro for an on-line scan & set it to autoclean for you.

Try this scan at Panda as well.

Once you have done the scans you can post another log. Please also post the reports from the scans.

You posted only half the log :). You should be able to copy and paste the report from the online scan. If not, that's fine.

Open Task Manager & end process on the following:
acledit9.exe
xgkaw.exe
istsvc.exe

Go to C:\WINDOWS\System32 and delete the acledit9.exe file. Go to C:\WINDOWS and delete the xgkaw.exe file. Go to C:\Program Files and delete the ISTsvc folder.

Scan with hijackthis and tick the boxes next to all the following entries, then close all browser and explorer windows, and hit the "Fix checked" button.

Search for scetobj.exe and delete it if found.

Reboot and post another log please.

Scan with hijackthis and tick the boxes next to all the following entries, then close all browser and explorer windows, and hit the "Fix checked" button.

Reboot into safe mode following the instructions here and navigate to and delete the following if found:

C:\documents and settings\barbara lewis\local settings\temp<----folder contents

C:\WINDOWS\xgkaw.exe<----file

In order to view these files you may have to select 'show hidden files/folders.' Instructions on how to here.

Reboot normally after doing the above, rescan with hijackthis, then post that log here please.

Let me know if you have any trouble with the removal.

i went to delete those 2 files manually, but i could not find them in the location u said, and i searched for them and found no results

Cannot see anything bad in your log to be causing that. Maybe you can uninstall spywareblaster, then reinstall it.

Definitely keep the family away from unsavoury sites. Spybot can install a whole bunch of sites into your host file to prevent access to them.

To stop downloads, give each user their own account with limited priviledges.

You didn't mention what the problem was that you needed help with.

You should go to Windows Update and get the Critical Updates for your system (and SpywareBlaster wouldn't hurt either).
