win32 viruses

Hi my fujitsu lifebook 4010 recently started to act pretty weird. It would boot up slowly then freeze up if I tried to do anything if my wireless switch was turned ON and I had to shut it off. I didn't know what to do so I just shut it off and left it. Well I finally got a wild hair up my butt and decided to figure out what was wrong with it so I opened up the task manager to see what was running. I had 75 apps running so I googled any which looked funny which led me to looking all of them up. There was about 10-15 that I found to be malicious so I ran avast! which told me it found a virus running in the memory so I should do a boot time scan which I scheduled then turned off windows restore. It found tons of viruses which I tried to fix or move to the vault but was not able to do so I deleted them. Then when my computer rebooted it seemed to be worse than before. Now I had a blue background which told me I was infected and that I needed to download security software, obviously a virus. I also got pop up windows. I then rebooted into safe mode and even in that I was getting pop ups and baloons telling me that I was infected. I ran avast! again and rebooted into normal mode which now wouldn't load up any of my desktop icons and just freezes on the background image. When I press ctrl alt delete the task manager is no longer a button I am able to press so I rebooted into safe mode again and scheduled another boot time scan which so far, at 1% complete, has yielded 5 different viruses; win32:adware-gen [adw], win32:fasec [trj], win32:lighty-f [cryp], win32:trojan-gen {other}, win32:rootkit-gen [rtk]. I am unable to do anything at all in normal mode therefore I am unable to reach the internet to download the programs you suggested. I have this strong feeling in my stomach that I will have to reload windows or maybe even scrap my laptop out. Any help would be much appreciated

Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware (http://www.majorgeeks.com/Malwarebytes_Anti-Malware_d5756.html) to your desktop.

* Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
* At the end, be sure to checkmark the Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
* If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
* Once the program has loaded, select Perform full scan, then click Scan.
* When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
* Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
* When completed, a log will open in Notepad.
* Post the log back here.

Make sure that you restart the computer.

Download HijackThis Executable from here. Save it to your desktop.
Start HJT & press the "Do a system scan and save a log file" button. When the scan is finished a window will pop up giving you the option of where to save it. Save it to desktop where it is easy to access. Open the log file and then go to the format Tab and make sure that wordwrap is unchecked. Copy the entire contents of the file & paste it into the body of your post. DO NOT FIX ANYTHING YET. Most of what is there is necessary for the running of your system.

will i be able to do any of that in safe mode if i burn that software to a disk froma different comp since my comp doesnt work in normal mode?

Download HijackThis Executable from here. Save it to your desktop.
Start HJT & press the "Do a system scan and save a log file" button. When the scan is finished a window will pop up giving you the option of where to save it. Save it to desktop where it is easy to access. Open the log file and then go to the format Tab and make sure that wordwrap is unchecked. Copy the entire contents of the file & paste it into the body of your post. DO NOT FIX ANYTHING YET. Most of what is there is necessary for the running of your system.

Can you disable Windows Defender as it may interfere with the removal process. Please leave it disabled until your PC has been given the all clear.

• Open Windows Defender
• Click Tools
• Click General Settings
• Scroll down to Real Time Protection Options
• Uncheck Turn on Real Time Protection (recommended)
• After you uncheck this, click on the Save button
• Close Windows Defender

it seems to be working well now but the desktop and icons took quite a while to show up but while waiting i was able to click the start menu and the avast and my intel wireless icons in the tray were animating...

do you know anything about the touch screen on my fujitsu lifebook 4010? i am running xp pro sp3 but i have read somewhere online that for this particular model of lifebook i need the windows xp tablet edition for the touch screen to work.. is there any app or program that will enable me to use the touch screen without the tablet edition? if not then where can i find a tablet pc edition of xp to install on my computer?(i have searched and from what i have found is that i need it for the touch screen to work). Now if i use the stylus that came with the comp. and hold down the button closest to the surface of what i am "writing" on and put the tip of the stylus on a button i am trying to press, and at the same time press the left button on the mouse it will click onthings but i can not use it like a usual touch screen life book..

if you do not know what to do can u please email me at <snip></snip> with a link or someone i can get info from?

any help is much appreciated and if you can make my lifebook touchscreen again i WILL DONATE FOR SURE.
