Hello,
I constantly get pop up windows from www.adblaster2.info, Adaware detects it, but doesnt remove it, spybot doesnt even detect it. I have no clue on how to remove it, it is becoming extremely frustrating. Any help would be fantastic.

Please do the following to start with:
Download the (free) HijackThis utility:
Once downloaded, follow these instructions to install and run the program:
Create a folder outside of any Temp/Temporary folders for HJT and move it there now. A folder such such as C:\HijackThis or C:\Spyware Tools\HijackThis will do.
Run HijackThis, but do not have HJT fix anything yet; only have it scan your system! Once the scan is complete, the "Scan" button will turn into an option to "Save log...". Save the log in the folder you created for HiajckThis, open the log in Windows Notepad, and cut-n-paste the entire contents of the log here.
The log contents will tell us a lot about what "nasties" have crept into your system, and once we analyse the log we can tell you what to do from there.

Hi and welcome to the Daniweb forums :).

Now, let's open a command prompt by going to the start menu and then select 'Run'.
In the box that pops up type in 'cmd'. The command prompt will open.
OR
You can go to Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> Command Prompt. Unregister the dll(s) we're going to remove, by entering the following:
regsvr32 /u ngsh33.dll
It's ok, if this isn't found or 'errors' out. If you want, just copy and paste the line into the command prompt to save typing it in.

Run HiJackThis then:
1. Click "Open the Misc Tools Section"
2. Click "Open Process manager"

Next, while holding down the CTRL key, locate (if present) and click on (highlight) each of the following:
C:\windows\system32\adprot.exe
C:\windows\system32\ngpw36.exe
Now double-check and make sure that only those item(s) above are highlighted, then click "Kill process". Now, click "Refresh", check again, and repeat this step if any remain.

Still in HiJackThis, click "Scan", then check(tick) the following, if present:

I followed all your steps, they all worked except for the last one (deleting C:\WINDOWS\system32\ngsh33.dll) the file didnt exist. So far the pop-ups have ceased (which is great!) But however when I ran an adaware scan it still found 7 entries for adblaster... so Im not sure, any ideas?.... below is my HJT log.... thanks for you help, much appreciated..

I see no evidence of adblaster in your log. Do the entries return after fixing them with Adaware? Are you quarintining them, or deleting them? Is Internet Explorer closed when you run Adaware? Do you have the latest reference file? The latest one is SE1R 43
