This would be better posted in the Internet Explorer Forum of this website. :) From what I have read on here, lots of people are having problems with their hotmail accounts as far as logging in and such. I know hotmail has been doing some changes, because mine has changed, …

I've been having some computer problems. It started a few weeks ago when my monitor would go all crazy and I'd have to manually turn the computer off. It would do that occasionally, and then Monday it wouldn't do anything. When I turn the computer on, it either gives me …

You are only supposed to post hijackthis logs in the Security Forum....there the experts that can help you will take a look at it and let you know if there is anything suspicious in your log and the steps you need to take to fix it. :)

The past couple of days I've been having problems with blank pop-ups on my computer. When I try to use task manager to close them (since right clicking on them won't let me), they keep popping right back up again. Also have had my windows, if I have two or …

It's a good idea to, and to use it regularly. Ever since I have started using Adaware and Spybot on a weekly basis, I have had very little problems with spyware on my computer. I also has Spywareblaster installed also. And also be sure to keep each program updated regularly, …

While you are waiting to hear back from Crunchie or one of the other experts, you might want to update your HijackThis to version 1.98.2. It may pick up some things that the older version didn't that need to be fixed. Post that log, and then I'm sure someone will …

I think my mom has gotten a virus or spyware of some kind on her computer. You know how when you are typing in a web address for a page that you have gone to before, it will automatically pop up after you type in the first couple of letters? …

I don't do a great deal of shopping online, but I do like Amazon. My online shopping experience with them has been great, and I would not hesitate to shop from Amazon again. :)

Hey ashagirl....be sure to start your own thread instead of asking your question in another person's thread. :) That way, you will get the help you're seeking faster than by posting in someone else's thread, no matter how similar the problem is. Someone will help you out as soon as …

Unless someone moves it, you are going to want to post your log in the Viruses/Spyware forum. This forum is for community introductions, and is less likely to get the attention it deserves. :)

While you're waiting to hear from Crunchie or one of the other experts, you could update HijackThis to the newest version, which is 1.98.2. Scan and then post that log. There is a possibility that it could pick up something that the version you are running might not. :)

Hi unabobber...you should start your own thread whenever you have a problem, no matter how similar the problems may seem. To me it seems pretty simple...there is absolutely no need for name calling. While some people may not mind being called a "bozo" or an "idiot", others, myself being included, would certainly take offense to being called that or anything else that is demeaning. I don't understand why such a …

The newest version of hijackthis is 1.98.2, so you are still running the older version. Did you try using the update feature within hijackthis? If so and that didn't work, try downloading it from a website. You can try this one: http://www.computercops.biz/zx/merjin/hijackthis.zip

You will want to put hijackthis in a permanent folder, not a temporary one like you have it in now, so it can safely make backups in case you need them. :)
