HJT log-need help removing virus/trojan

I stupidly opened a program someone sent me through AIM (I did scan it for viruses first but found nothing). Now when I boot up, Symantec pops up saying it found HackTool.RootKit virus, on the file msdirectx.sys, which is found under Documents and Settings\Owner. Also, pokapoka70.exe is running somewhere, because a screen keeps popping up after reboot saying it is having problems and will have to quit. It cannot find it running in the list of process in Task Manager. I deleted msdirectx.sys through the anti-virus program, to no avail. I have run Ad-Aware and Spy-Bot, both found things, fixed them, and the problem still returns. Likewise for UnHackMe. I booted up in safe mode, couldn't find msdirectx.sys, but did find pokapoka70.exe, and deleted it. It returned after reboot. Whatever this is is giving me trouble accessing the internet, turns off the network firewall with every boot, and has returned XP to the original configurations.

Any help that someone can offer would be greatly appreciated. I'm not sure what else to do at this point.

Hi,
Download miekiemoes' and place it on your desktop.
Doubleclick LQfix.exe and click install.
Leave the default settings. If you change them, the fix will fail.
Make sure 'Launch LQfix' is checked. After clicking finish in the install, the fix will start.
Follow the prompts on the screen.
Your system will reboot afterwards.
Please be patient after reboot, because there is a script running in the background.

After this, post a fresh HijackThis log file.

Open a newfile in NotePad and copy the contents of the below "Quote" box:-

Reboot in Safe Mode:-
Restart (or switch ON) the PC.
Then, keep tapping the F8 Key.
From the menu that will be displayed, out of which choose Safe Mode and press Enter.

Run HijackThis and click Do only a System scan.
Then put a check mark infront of below listed entries:-

Double-click on the Test.bat file thay was created earlier. A DOS type window should open and close by itself.

Reboot to Normal Mode. Perform an online virus scan at Panda ActiveScan with the "Disinfection" option enabled. Save the log it gives after the scan.

Run HijackThis again, click Do a System scan and save log, and post the fresh log along with the Panda ActiveScan log.

I installed some other programs that were recommended in other posts/tutorials between now and my first log, and I also followed the instructions in the PC cleaning procedures thread. I removed pokapoka70.exe and lockx.exe from the startup tab in System Configurations (which helped), but I don't think that deleted anything, for one thing because I still see lockx.exe listed in the log below. My system still seems to be running quite slowly.

I had to run Panda twice; near the end of the first scan it popped up to ask me to choose a process, I didn't know what to choose (or if that even belonged to the Activescan), so I hit cancel on that window. There were two viruses that it had already disinfected, and the other things it found are the same ones, I think, that are shown above.

I will fix that entry in HJT in normal mode, and post another log, but I didn't know if you needed to see this first scan log.

Things are generally running better. I'm not getting pop-ups anymore and my computer is mostly running at its usual speed. There were three of the 6arab html files, so I deleted them all. The problem I am having since that, however, is that Firefox is running very slowly. It starts out okay, but after ten minutes or so, it gets slower and slower. The Task Manager says that Firefox is at 75-99% CPU usage at that point. I don't know if this is a related problem, but I will also make sure I have all the updates for Firefox.
