Next, boot in Safe Mode.

Run HijackThis and click Do only a System scan.
Then put a check mark infront of below listed entries:-

R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Page_URL = c:\secure32.html
O20 - Winlogon Notify: avpe32 - avpe32.dll (file missing)

Close all other open programs except Hijackthis and click the button Fix Checked in HijackThis.

Run CWShredder and click "Fix" and allow it to complete the process.

Delete this file, if found:-
c:\secure32.html

After this, run HijackThis again, click on Open the Misc Tools Section. Make sure that both boxes to the right of "Generate StartupList Log" are checked:-
List also minor sections (Full)
List empty sections (Complete)
Click Generate StartupListLog. Click Yes at the prompt. A Notepad window will open with the contents of the HijackThis Startup list displayed, save this file.

Restart the PC to normal mode, and post the HijackThis Startup List log (that was created in Safe Mode) along with a new HijackThis log (which can be created by clicking the button "Do a system scan and save log").

Hi,
There are some traces of malware, that we should remove now. Download CWShredder.

Hi,
Using KillBox, delete this file:-
C:\WINDOWS\system32\avpe64.sys
Copy the above text and paste it in the "Full path of file to delete" text box in KillBox and select the "Delete on reboot" option and click the Red X button.

By the way,are you getting any WinFixer popups? And, do you have the Mouse Driver/Software CD with you? If yes, try reinstalling the mouse application.
