Possible Trojan?

Ok well recently I have been having some trouble with my mouse and it never used to behave like this (eractic, moves me around in game etc and freezes up sometimes during games/desktop). This led me to believe that it was some Trojan or something that made it do this, but nothing I tried managed to fix it. Even tried using all the spyware/virus programs and nothing was really found :(

Its a Fujitsu Siemens Computers Wireless Wheel Mouse (Ball), I don't know if its a wireless signal thats making it behave like this but I thought I would post my HJT log so you guys can inspect it and hopefully give me some advice on solving the problem.

Oh and one last thing, sometimes when playing a game it will freeze up (not mouse) or blue screen/restart (but I think this is my driver which needs updating) - doesn't always do this but rarely.

I also noticed my Windows Installer files were changed to open in notepad and I can't change them back (don't know if this is something to do with this or not).

Welcome to daniweb. Your log is clean.

However, it wouldn't hurt to download CCleaner.

Download the latest version of it, update its defenitons, and run scans in both the 'Issues' and 'Cleaner' toolbars.

Also, have ya run an Ewido scan anytime soon (I see that ya have it already installed)? If yes, do ya recall if it found anything besides cookies? If ya havn't run one recently, run a scan and post a scan log here.

I have a feeling the mouse problem might be 2 things: either old batteries in the mouse (try changing them), or outside intereference. Oftentimes something like a fan or the microwave, or cordless phones affect this connection, creating some wierd things to happen.

Yep, mad fetish on CCleaner, being doing it alot since I got it (great program :)).

Ewido I did a full scan of last night and that only found some cookies which I then got rid of (always do).

Ran Adaware but that found nothing, SpyBot SD found a few little cookies as well, cleaned those. Spy Sweeper did the same. Seems to be everything just was cookies :(

However I do recall wisptis.exe being on my taskmanager a few times along with another program which was on it twice (I think it was called wmpsirve.exe or something like that.) and I wasnt sure if that was causing any problems.

Batteries are new, always stick new batteries in when it starts to look like its starting to behave :P

As wireless signals it might be my mobile but then I have had the same phone for years and It never affected it before, could be neighbours but I don't think it would be caused by something that far away?

How about wireless network cards? Could that be something thats causing it? Maybe my Internet?

edit: Turns out the file which appeared twice is called WMIPRVSE.EXE

The processes ya named

1) wisptis.exe - This is a Microsoft process that runs with Adobe Acrobat
2) I couldnt find the other one.

Most likely, the best things are these:

1) try to use a wired mouse and try it out. If the irradic behavior still persists, then ya kno the prob's inside the computer.

I don't think its an inernet problem, simply because (I assume), ya still have the problems when not online.

Heh, and I don't have the best knowledge about wireless network cards and such, but did ya upgrade the card or the router recently?

Lastly, it prly wouldn't hurt to repost the same problem in another subforum here, cause there are some prettty smart people here (id recommend reposting in Windows NT forum or the Tips and Tweaks)

O ya, and make sure ya tell them its not spyware when ya post there.

Nah I havent updated any Card and I have no router.

The only bad thing about my PC is that I have no PS/2 ports :(, I am looking to get a Logitech G5 though and thats a wired so we shall see how that goes :P

I aint tried it offline, since it sometimes doesnt do it at all.

My keyboard is connected to the same wireless "hub" but I doubt that is causing problems with my mouse :S

Hmm, if the keyboard isn't having problems, then I think we can rule out an outside disruption of the signals.

I do get a few laggy stops here and there, it happens alot in games but it happens outside on the desktop so I don't know :(
