MSN messenger has encountered a problem...

....and needs to close. please can someone help? .

everytime i turn my computer on this flashes up. i have tried to uninstall and reinstall msan messenger but the problem doesn't go away. my computer is also regularly crashing since this has happened. i have run Spyware Doctor but this detects no viruses.

TT4Titans,thanks for your reply. unfortunately my computer now logs off automatically everytime i turn it on after about three minutes. do you think this is connected? i thought that it might be a problem with the power cables but now i think that it is probably a virus. obviously it does not stay on for long enough for me to look into it very much.please can you advise?thank you very much in advance

Open the case and turn it on and make sure all fans are running.before you turn it on unplug the power (touch the power supply in case of static to discharge yourself)take out any adaptors and reseat and memory.while in there dust it out.if there is alot of dust on the fan on the heatsink if it has a fan and alot on the heatsink clean it.if you do not have thermal compund try doing it without removing.also clean it out while in there.

Also boot into safemode and see if it shuts down.
