Howdy! I'm back again, and with another problem. Well, I say another problem, it was there when I last posted here about my explorer.exe trouble! Anyway.

Whenever I try to use system restore, it says:
"System restore is not able to protect your computer. Please restart your computer, and then run System Restore again"

Of course, I tried restarting, and it didnt help. I went into the Services thing in the Administrative tools to see if it was actually running, which it wasnt. So I tried to start it, and it came up with this:

"Could not start the System Restore Service service on Local Computer

Error 5: Access is Denied."

I am the adminstrator of the pc, so I dont know whats going on there!

If anyone could help, that would be awesome ^_^

Thanks!

Your log is cleans except for two little things that aren't really malware, bun anyways run HJT and put checkmarks next to the following.

R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,SearchURL = about:blank
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings,ProxyOverride = 127.0.0.1

Then click fix checked.

You said you were on here before? Was that because your explorer.exe wasn't working properly or was it because it was being used by malware. The system restore thing might have been target some previous infection you had. Other that that there's no evidence in your log that would lead me to believe this is because of malware of any kind.

Thats really strange, it hasnt worked for weeks now, but i just tried it now, and its decided to work :S I didnt actually do or run anything special, it just, worked! Thanks for your time, I do appreciate it, thanks!!
