What like we're your flunkies or something?

You should tell us your symptoms, what tools you have used to detect malware and the results.

So I've got my opinion on your HJT log. What's your story then there'll be more from this side!

Shalom.

Fusinozzz...

I got the same problem yesterday evening. After spending most of the day working on it (and most of last night)...I think I can help you.

This seems to be a variation of the Adware.Agent.BN worm. Once you are finished fixing it, you can look it up. Here's what I did to at least disable it.

First, disble your "System Restore". If you are running XP like me, then you just have to right-click on "My Computer" and select the "System Restore" tab and select "Turn Off System Restore on all Drives." The little bastard of a worm seems to find refuge from your spyware-killing software by hiding in the system restore folder between boots.

Next, restart your computer in "Safe Mode". To do that, restart your computer and keep tapping F8 until the menu comes up that allows you to select it. Once in safe mode, search your registry (regedit) for both "pmkret.dll" and "gormet.dll". I can't remember for 100% sure...but I think that the exact location was "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ShellServiceObjectDelayLoad".

Once you find them, delete them both.

Next, navigate to "C:\Windows" and find the DLL's by their names ("gormet.dll" and "pmkret.dll") and delete them from there.

Now run your anti-spyware software. It will probably find reference to the worm somewhere in your "Local Settings" folder. In any case, do the clean-up like you normally would.

After you are done, reboot your machine normally. This may not be the way to clear it up 100%...but it will at least cut the balls off of the worm until a proper fix has been made by McAfee or Norton or whatever you prefer.

One more thing...when you restart normally, your desktop may be all screwed up (blank and white). If this is the case, just go to "Control Panel"->"Display" and select the "Desktop" tab. Then select the "Customize" button and then the "Web" tab. Deselect (or better yet delete) the web page that is currently selected there (it is part of the change that the worm made).

Good luck and let me know how it goes.

Ha ha ha ..After fighting for 6 Hrs ,i am able to remove that Virus completely from my PC,,
In case if you want help please write to me Kapil231ice@yahoo.com

Anyway in breif i am writing ,how to delete it

There must be the DLL's in your PC in C:\Windows like
hdtip.dll
gormet.dll
pmkret.dll
werbetdqw.dll

Now Start your Computer in Safe mode.
Delete all those Dll's

and Now go to Start->Run and Write REGEDIT
Search for above DLL names..Wherever you find them just delete it..

Restart your PC and enjoy...
Run your AntiVirus again to Confirm ..
And don't forget to Drop me an email..if possible..
Above would be the easiet way to get rid of that Junk Virus..

Kapil, you were nicer to him than I was. But he was so damn arrogant just expecting us to second guess him. That annoyed me.
