hi all,
I have successfully created and run knoppix USB flash disk. And i fully read that script and I think I underestood it enoughf.
Then I create my IDE hard disk fat partition and format it as FAT32 and copy the files of the DSL linux to it and install the grub bootloader into it.
Well Grub is booting and stage 2 is also loading.then I load the kernel
and just hit boot. Yes kernel is also unpacking and kernel is loaded to the memory success.
But I get a error when it tries to mount the root file system.
the error message is
Kernel panic- not syncing: Unable to mount root fs on uknown block(0,0)
I tried using various root= arguments. and tell me what is the correct argument or something to read to underestand inside and outside what's happning.
these are the parameaters that I passed but not worked
root=/dev/hda
root=/
root=/dev/ramdisk
root=/ramdisk
