I have managed to i think delete all the keyboard extensions and therefore have locked myself out of my pismo, erm what can i do?
Is the best bet to reinstall?

Jump to Posta clean install would be better than an erase and install as it replaces your extension folder without deleting your data.

Hello,
Clean install. You may also consider partitioning your drive into two, so that you can have a System volume, and a Data location.
