Not sure if im allowed to post what i am going to post...

Windows 7 is awesome, even the beta, which is on microsoft.com now for free download, the beta is not finished and needs a few more things added, or removed. such things as the kernel size, have not been fixed.

requirements include 1 GB of ram, and a 1 ghz processor.

the new taskbar sidebar and other components make this a really cool os, i have been using 7 since pre beta and am glad i now have the chance to get my own FREE key from microsoft, 32 bit or 64 bit,

for anyone opposed to windows, do not scorn this post, to those of you whom are not sure about 7, i urge you to try it, and for those of you whom have or are going to try it, YAY!

Amazing, simply amazing.

also when you download from microsoft is when you get the key. be sure to write it down!

Any valid key will work with any copy. All the disks are the same.

You sure about the 1 ghz processor?? I don't think so :|

its probably right

XP wanted like 166 or 233mhz or something with 64mb ram
Think vista wanted like 650mhz with 512mb ram

The specs are bare minimums.

Minimum recommended specs call for:
1 GHz 32-bit or 64-bit processor
1 GB of system memory
16 GB of available disk space
Support for DirectX 9 graphics with 128 MB memory (to enable the Aero theme)
DVD-R/W Drive
Internet access (to download the Beta and get updates)
And yes, like anything tech-related, these specs could change.
