Hello People,
I am having a real strange problem. I have been working on a P-IV machine with Windows XP Professional for quite some time now. No, that’s not a problem. The problem is that since today morning, once windows has loaded, I just can’t start any application. Though the cursor moves but no application can be started or selected. Even the keyboard is of no use. Yesterday before switching off, I downloaded one C# book and anti virus updates. Must this problem be due to these things? What do I do?

Just boot to safe mode, see whats running at the
startup
start->run->msconfig and click on startup tab.
Disable all the unnecessary programs and suspicious
applications. Boot back to normal mode and see how it
works. Provide us more details for further
troubleshooting.
