I have a wireless G router providing internet access to a laptop. My desktop is connected to the router using a cable. Both computers are using Windows 7 and connected to a homegroup. My laptop has no problems in assessing the desktop files but not the other way round. Windows 7 gives me a general error message. I tried to use '\\ipaddress of laptop\file location' in the desktop but in vain. However, if I plug the laptop to the router with a cable, the problem is solved. Any idea why?
