Hi, I'm not sure if this is the right section to post in or if anyone can help me with this problem but any help would be greatly appreciated

So I have an original xbox that has been softmodded and is currently being used to watch divx/.avi movies and tv shows via burned dvds. I was wondering if there was any way for me to connect the xbox to my laptop and read the movies off the laptop through an ethernet connection directly from the computer to the xbox. I'm pretty sure it would be possible if I connected the xbox directly to my router and then did it wirelessly but my router is quite a distance away and is not possible for the xbox to reach it. I don't know if that was a clear enough description or if it can even be done but again any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thankyou, lvlik3

well ive got some pretty random stuff.. for example in my control panel there is two programs called --- help finder and help features --- these programs have no size.. are they for windows or can they be deleted? another thing is that my wirelesses is on and off rite now but ive been told that that can be fixed by purchasing another modem.. you can find the full detail in a different thread i created but i thought i might as well mention it to you, I think thats all the problems for now but if any more come to mind then ill be sure to tell you

hey there. I have a problem with my wireless internet and any help would be appreciated. Ok.. on the first story of my house there is a Efficient Networks SpeedStream 5200 - Router - DSL connected to a phoneline. This router is connected to a Linksys Wireless-B Cable/DSL Router. A laptop is set up beside which uses the internet. My computer(this one) is upstairs in the house and is also connected to the wireless internet. Now, the problem with this is that every couple days (some days worse than others) the internet disconnects for a range of 5-25 minutes, then reconnects. When I read the icon on my toolbar for the wireless internet it says that the internet is running at an excellent signal strength and is still connected even when the browser says that it is not. This problem can be solved by disconnecting and reconnecting the power cord to the Efficient Networks SpeedStream 5200 - Router but it is a real pain in the neck to do that and i would also just like to know what the problem is.. i know this is a very broad subject but any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks alot

Alright.. i deleted the csrss but for some reason the log was not saved for the ewido scan.. i know that the only thing that it reported to delete was something that started with Not-A-Virus________
---
I can do another scan if you would like but im sure that the old report is nowhere to be found on the computer
----
One more thing, -- in the add/remove screen it still says that kazaa is there but it now comes up with a message when i try to remove it.

It sounds like you deleted kazaa without going through add/remove programs first. Unless you want to try and dig it out of the registry, reinstall kazaa and then remove it through add/remove programs

reinstalling kazaa has made the computer much worse and it still comes up a message (attatched to this)
-------------
also.. after installing ewido anti-spyware it keeps coming up with messages saying that a toolbar on my browser has an error on it (i clean and quarantine it every time)
------------
Also after reinstalling kazaa i went through the processes on my computer and found multiple adware and spyware..
Please help before it gets any worse

lvlIk3 0 Light Poster

hey.. i can't get rid of kazaa, it is listed on the add/remove list but when i try to remove it it comes up with this message:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Error loading C:\WINDOWS\system32\cd_clint.dll

The specified module could not be found
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

It is not running in the processes or anywhere else, any help would be appreciated.

Alright... it came up with nothing on the online upload and scan..
moving on to the next problem, I am using one account on my computer while the rest of my family is using the other account, just to make sure that the other account is alright.. can you just take a look at the hijack log for that account, because it is having some problems with internet explorer..... I was also wondering if i could delete internet explorer in windows task manager/processes for example explorer.exe, I also have Mozilla firefox.. which is the one used by everyone...
One more question.... my high-speed internet has been doing some pretty weird stuff lately... on the toolbar it tells me that it is running with excellent speed but realistically it turns off and on till the point where it is on for 30 seconds at times and off for 5 minutes... although this only happens every once and a while, it has been turning off every half an hour or so lately... so my question is if this is a problem many people have or if its something wrong with my computer... thanks alot for your help....
Heres the log file for the family's account:

Ok.. so I had a couple problems that occured,
First.. It wouldn't let me fix the

O4 - Startup: csrss.lnk = ?

in the hijack this scan

Second... I couldn't find [PAV.EXE even after I checked off show hidden files and folders and hide protected operating systems in the Folder Options and went into safe mode

Third.... I didn't see the autoclean option at http://www.bitdefender.com/scan/licence.php so i just did the scan which came up with the results: (they're pretty long.. sorry)
