I have moved my music library to an external drive, Seagate 1T, about 150G in total. Every time I hook the extenal into the PC, it goes through an extensive update which takes hours. Any ideas???? |

WMP 12 recognizes external drive, but lists it as unresponsive. I can burn from it and rip to it and play tunes from it, but it will not update the WMP library with the new songs on the external drive. I don't want to uninstall and reinstall WMP as it … |

I need to uninstall and reinstall MP12 due to massive duplication of music files (my fault).
