let me have a conclusion: one account works but another account doesn't work. so your computer is physically connected. most likely, it's all about your proxy settings of MSIE. however, if it's the firewall which keeps you from talk to the admin politely, if it doesn't work... ... nuke it! …

Microsoft didn't prepared a good patch - i believe. actually, MSIE patches are designed to patch security vulnerabilities instead of solving crashes. and reporting crash info to MSIE is generally wasting bandwidth. i suggest you use Win2003.

there are many ways to crash MSIE. http://www.google.com/search?q=site%3Asecurityfocus.com+%22internet+explorer%22+crash&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=zh-CN&lr= however, i am researching how to break MSIE, instead of patching them. use win2k3!

go to MS and download their patch: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=4b4b834d-677e-40da-95ad-71a8c24cb0d1&displaylang=en that exploit won't work again.
