I know this is a little late, but if you live in the US, switch to law and join the money making crowd. In your present technical field you will always be just a peon competing with low paid labor from India or China.

I always like to go by something one of my favorite teachers said to me; if you do what you love you'll never work a day in your life. If computers is what someone is interested in, you think they would rather begin a career in law for a few extra bucks? I wouldn't.

The surplus in attorneys is ridiculous right now. My Economics teacher has a degree in law and said he is making more as a college professor working 20 hours a week, 30 weeks a year than if he were working as an attorney 40hr/week 50weeks/yr. That says something.

I advise Databases. I could use databases for a number of things where I work if I understood how they worked. I too am in the networking field.

Do you have the latest firmware version?

Check the linksys website for the latest firmware of your model router (model on the bottom of the router).

check the firmware of your router by going to 192.168.1.1 and use admin/admin for user and password. look at the top right corner and see if the firmware versions match.

If this doesn't make since, let us know and maybe myself or someone else can help if you get stuck.

I agree with tina... though you can tell when a restaurant allows smoking because the whole place smells unclean lol.

Duki 552 Nearly a Posting Virtuoso

Is smoking really that good? I mean... if you had a contract that said:

Live for 80 years with healthy lungs but you can't smoke
or
Live for 75 years with possible cancerous lungs but you can smoke

would you honestly choose the later? just curious..

i didn't really read this thread all the way through... but has anyone mentioned the fact that the FDA doesn't require the Nutrition Facts section on cigarettes but does on every other sort of consumable? why?

today i pushed just under 85 in a 70mph zone for about an hour... but that's because on the way home from a meeting i lucked up and got behind a cherry red porche turbo that was clocking close to 90... i kept him in front of me a ways as a decoy ;x

and nice car by the way Duki, lovely paintjob. Did you get it repaired or was it written off for scrap?

Thanks, it was my baby. I didn't have a paintjob done to it, i just go to church with a guy who owns a sign shop so he sold/installed the graphic at cost; it was totaled =(
but luckily her insurance gave me enough to get the same car in the LT model (which is much sportier) ;)
I have been waiting for summer to put a graphic on it though.

i good at naming cars but it shurly was a write off with that amount of damage! was that the drunk driver or the granny that caused this?

This was the woman that pulled out in front of me.
The drunk driver crash, he tore off the front bumper of my mom's Montana... stupid piece of trash... honestly, who gets drunk on a wednesday night? Could have killed me and christina... luckily by the grace of God he didn't.

and btw. this is probably considered completely and totally off topic so flame on whoever ...

dcc commented: flane on whoever -1
christina>you commented: eh, he's old and a grump. ;) +9

I like to consider myself a good driver. Having said that, I'm 19 and have been in 2 wrecks... neither of which were my fault. One Christina and I were hit by a drunk driver; the other a woman thought it would be a good idea to pull out in front of a 50mph teenager (me).

here are some pics (see attached)

Microsoft's Cryptography Service is one of the more invisible and less widely-discussed services in Windows 2000 and XP. It is also one of the more important, as it provides a broad variety of services to Windows: encoding and decoding files stored in encrypted folders, for instance, or affirming that digital signatures are in fact valid.
The latter is actually one of the most important "silent" functions in Windows, since digital signatures are used to sign device drivers, applications and other Windows executables. A system patched with Windows XP Service Pack 2, for instance, is designed to warn the user if the system tries to run application without an appropriate signature. This could be an ActiveX control, an installer for a device driver or application, a Windows Update download or an encryption certificate.
If the Cryptography service is disabled, either manually or through a Group Policy operation, or its support files are damaged, a great variety of things can go wrong. Application installs may fail with a warning that the integrity of a file could not be verified or that it has not passed Windows Logo testing, that a digital signature could not be found, or that a package was not signed properly.

  1. If the problem is that new certificates cannot be added, the Trusted Publishers Lockdown policy may be in effect. This …
