Hi everybody,

i'm studying computer science in the university, i'm i saw they have 2 different tracks inside the computer science major:

computer science
software design and development

I was wondering if anyone can help me by telling more or less the difference between the two, because the school web site description is vague.

I would like to know which one has more demand and better salaries, but also what is the main kind of work you should do in both.

I'm sorry if i'm asking too much.

Thanks in advance.

you need to talk to your school counseler about what those two tracks involve, but my guess is that computer science will prepare you for graduate school. Which one you should take depends on your goals.

You will probably get better jobs and salaries by getting a Master's degree. The job market is now pretty full of people with bachelors or less degrees.

I feel that software design will help you to get some good edge from others.
