I'm still using a dBase 5 routine I wrote years ago (I know, don't laugh!) but have tinkered with from time to time. It mostly does what I want and is, therefore, still useful, but I wondered if there was ever a year 2000 work around as I'm having difficulty searching on dates and is there a way you can make it do a lookup like the Excel vlookup and hlookup? dBase lookup() only returns a result if an exact match is found. I suppose you'll have to be old to know anything about this now but I thought I would ask anyway!

Im general the best work around was to eliminate the Y2K problem, by using 4 digit years
